Till Brönner darf sich zu Recht als erfolgreichster deutscher Jazzmusiker bezeichnen. Doch er ist weit mehr als nur ein Protagonist der nationalen oder europäischen Szene. Immer wieder zieht es ihn ins Mutterland des Jazz. Am International Jazz Day 2016 gelang ihm als Musiker, wovon die meisten deutschen Politiker nur träumen können, nämlich ein Auftritt im Weißen Haus. An der Seite von Jazz-Legenden wie Ray Brown, Dave Brubeck oder James Moody hat er zudem unmittelbar Tuchfühlung mit der Jazzgeschichte aufgenommen.

Ich habe mich nach langer Zeit dazu entschlossen, mich zur derzeitigen Corona-Situation meiner Branche zu Wort zu melden. Ich bin ehrlich und rechne nicht aus allen Ecken mit Applaus. Aber ich kann und möchte auch nicht mehr schweigen. Es muss jetzt was passieren für die Kultur- und Veranstaltungsbranche in Deutschland, sonst sind die Schäden unwiederbringlich.
